Wisconsin is known for cheesemaking excellence, and Wisconsin cheesemakers demonstrate the variety and quality of cheese produced in the state at major national and international cheese competitions each year. In fact, Wisconsin consistently wins more awards than any other state at the annual American Cheese Society and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association competitions.
